About me

Fr. Anit A. Jacob, M.S., is a member of the Missionaries ofOur Lady of La Salette. He is the son of Mr. Jacob Antony and Mrs. Merly Jacob,and was born on December 23, 1987, in Barananganam, Kerala, India. He has twosiblings: an elder brother, Mr. Aneesh, and a younger sister, Mrs. Rosemary.

Fr. Anit completed high school in 2003 and higher secondary education in 2006. He went on to earn bachelor’s degrees in both Philosophy(2009) and Theology (2015). He made his First Profession of Vows as a LaSalette religious on May 1, 2013, his Final Profession on May 1, 2016, and was ordained to the priesthood on January 21, 2017, at his home parish, Our Lady of Dolours Church in Kainady, part of the Archdiocese of Changanassery.

Following his ordination, Fr. Anit served in a variety of roles. He began as Associate Pastor in the Archdiocese of Trivandrum(2017–2018), then served as Vocation Promoter for the La Salette Matha Province(2018–2019), and was a member of the Formation Commission. He was also Assistant Director and a member of the School Board at La Salette Vidyanikethanin Mysore. From 2020 to 2022, he resumed duties as Vocation Promoter and served as Procurator at La Salette Ashram in Wayanad, while continuing his roles on the Formation and Finance Commissions.

Fr. Anit arrived in the United States on June 13, 2023, and began serving as Associate Pastor at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Shallotte, within the Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina.
